PURCHASER/BUYER FOR MANUFACTURING COMPANY

 Responsibilities:

Work with suppliers to procure parts and materials.

Initiate RFQ's and place purchase orders.

Purchase order administration/file maintenance.

Manage supplier relationships from quotes to production and delivery.

Follow up on scheduled material to secure on time delivery.

Interact with Quality, Engineering and Production departments to resolve quality and production issues.

Assume other responsibilities as requested in support of departmental goals and objectives.

 

Requirements:

2+ years of Buyer/Purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment, desired but not required.

Excellent time management skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, after completion of training.

Experience working with suppliers

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Must possess excellent communication skills - written and oral.

Excellent attendance a must.
